month: November 2010

Mya, Mom and Dad!

Oh, little girl.  What a sweetheart.  We just love Christmas and the joy that it brings with each family we photograph.  We were in awe while working through the pictures from this session.  What a beautiful moment.  Here’s a few that certainly warmed our hearts….

Christmas Cards and Availability

It’s that time of year for many of you – Christmas card orders!!  If you would like to get your cards before Christmas, all designs will need to be approved no later than December 15th.  All orders approved after this date will be delivered after the new year.

We will be closed December 17th through January 1st, 2011. Thank you for another amazing year! We look forward to working with you the remainder of this year and into 2011 and beyond.

Ava, Mom and Dad!

Oh boy…this little girl was a hoot!  Smiles come right away just thinking about our time together!  Lots of energy!  Thanks for making fun memories little girl!  And, mom and dad….you both were great.  Ava, you did VERY well with three outfits!

Kelli and Jeremy: Engagement

A tree.  A vision.  An idea.  Oh…and we loved it.  What is it with stand alone trees in the middle of a field?  It’s special.  It’s art.  And, it’s something that this bride has wanted in her pictures for a long time.  Kelli, we’re so glad you discovered it!  It was cold, but it was worth it.  The entire engagement shoot was spent dodging a cool breeze and hiking through tall grass and trees for real moments involving two beautiful people!  We loved the shoot, the colors and the personalities.  Most importantly, we’ll love the big day!  Here’s a few for now….

Thankful x 30

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s hard to put into words just how thankful we are each day.  When it comes right down to it, the gratitude is overwhelming.  One of our Facebook friends had a great idea to list one thing they are thankful for each day of the month.

Here’s 30 things we’re thankful for (and we could list so many more) that we came up with on the fly without thinking about it too much:
1. Jesus
2. Married life
3. Ellia (our daughter)
4. Paxton (our son)
5. Grandparents
6. Parents
7. Siblings
8. Friends
9. A warm home
10. Our job
11. Our church family
12. Our pastors
13. Starbucks
14. Our vehicles
15. Great neighbors
16. Our health
17. Izzes
18. Our clients
19. Safe travels
20. Good food
21. Freedom
22. Facebook
23. Photoshoots
24. Love
25. Hugs
26. Smiles
27. Joy
28. Peace
29. Salvation
30. Hope

We are SO thankful for our kids!  And because we know a blog post is so much better with a picture, here’s a few more pictures of Paxton AKA “little buddy” from his birth announcement (more coming):

And, a recent one of Ellia AKA “booga” just being herself:

Shana: 2011 TGU Senior

Shana, you were awesome!  We’re loving these November senior shoots.  The outdoor portions bring something different – something serene that summer cannot.  Thanks for coming on board with a fun spirit.  We enjoyed the time.  Here’s a few that caught our eye….

Eva and David: Engagement

We love engagement shoots especially when the couple involved give us ideas on where they would like to shoot.  This round, downtown.  We walked main street for a few and then up and down a couple of alleys before we lost our light.  The sun is dropping mighty quick these days, but we managed to grab a nice handful of pictures before it went away all together!  Eva and David, your sunny Florida destination wedding will be a memory that will last forever.  Thanks for allowing us to be a part of it this way.  Here’s a few from the shoot….

Alexis: 2011 Berthold Senior

Once again, another amazing senior.  Anyone who can sit back, have fun and be themselves would fall under the category of amazing.  Alexis, you did so well!  Thank you for bringing the “real” you to your senior shoot.  Enjoy the rest of your year and have a good time.  Here’s a little peak at your portfolio…..

The Brandt Family

Love, love and more love!  There’s just no other word to best describe this family!  We were thrilled to once again capture this beautiful family (beautiful inside and out).  We’ll just let the pictures tell the story of our time together.  Here’s some of our favorites….

Sonja: 2011 Powers Lake Senior

Sonja…it was a great experience working with you!  Thank you for coming on board with a relaxed and positive spirit.  It’s always fun to learn about each individual we photograph.  Enjoy your senior year and the best to you in the future.  Here’s a few that caught our eye….
