Sofie: 4 Years!

Once again, this little girl amazed us with her personality!  We’ve been taking pictures of Sofie since she was one and every year brings an entirely different round of fun.  Our daughter knows her by name and enjoys some quick play time with her as well.  In fact, Ellia was assisting behind the scenes with a number of these photographs!  Huffs…once again, it was such a pleasure.  Thanks for being incredible – as always.  Although we would like to blog the entire shoot, we’ll settle with these….

Faye and “Dakota”

We’ve had so many fun, unique and enjoyable shoots lately – what a treat!  This time, Faye and her dear friend, Dakota.  When we have the opportunity to be around other dogs, it makes us miss our Burkley.  These moments sure help fill the void.  And, what an amazing little Dakota – so cooperative and confident!  Faye, thank you for bringing this incredible dog along for a photo ride!  Here’s a look at a few of our favorites from the shoot.

Heather and Robert: Engagement

With every engagement shoot a new opportunity of getting to know a couple occurs.  The personalities, traits and reactions reveal so much about each couple.   Heather and Robert were so relaxed – they brought light and peace to a gloomy Saturday afternoon.  The wind was strong, the clouds threatened rain, but this awesome couple helped create a moment that certainly allowed us to forget the elements and, instead, focus on the beauty of the moment.  We look forward to the big celebration this October.  Heather and Robert…here’s a few of our favorites!

Bedtime Fun! Amy, Ellia and Paxton

We’re so overdue with updates from our own family.  Why is it so hard to get our own pictures on the blog?!  We’ll get that one figured out one day!  For now, a recent shoot with Amy and the kids.  We created a bed and curtain scene in our studio and thought it worked out pretty well.  Time is flying with Ellia being 2-years-old and Paxton 6-months.

Happy Easter weekend everyone!  Enjoy your holiday and look for lots of updates from recent sessions starting next week…

The Grigsby Family

We sure have enjoyed working with this family.  From Mataya’s senior shoot to the recent family session!  The weather was great and the spirit of family love very evident.  Grigsby’s, we sure enjoyed you.   Thanks for being real and having a good time.  Here’s a few from the shoot…

The Bartsch Family

This crew showed up for their session with one thing in mind…to have a great time!  And…that they did!  We had a great time with these folks and were actually able to finally sit-down outside without snow!  Spring is in the air and that means lots more smiles coming our way!  Bartsch family – thank you for a great shoot.  You were perfect.  Here’s a few that certainly made us smile (and laugh)…..

It’s photo shoots like these that we wish we had more than 4-5 minutes to complete.  Jason’s niece, Kasey, and her friend Abby made a pit-stop at our wedding shoot this past Saturday and we were able to go out and grab a couple shots before the reception started…perfect timing! Hope you girls enjoyed your evening. Below are a few of our favorites!

Melissa and Friend….

We understand the importance of a pet – the love, bond, and loyalty that they bring on a daily basis.  We also understand just how difficult it is when these furry loved ones need to be put down.  Yes, Melissa had to make a very difficult decision after 18 amazing years.  She contacted us and asked if we could bring the shoot right to her home – we quickly said yes!  We knew the timeframe was going to be quick – maybe 10 minutes tops that this beautiful furry friend would give us before becoming too nervous for pictures.  So, we hurried.  And, in such a quick amount of time – the bond between Melissa and her dear friend was frozen in time.  The light was perfect and the moment was unforgettable.  Melissa, thank you for embracing this moment full force.  You did awesome.  You now have memories forever….
